Thick layered textile with indigo dye and cotton cloth based on ‘sakiori’ textile woven with a woof made of cloth or silk and torn into thin strips. Originally aged fragments of threadbare textiles from Edo or Meiji period in 19th century, and well-used and succeeded with blood, sweat, tears, and waters through generation to generation until Mid Showa period in Early-Mid 20th century as possibly.
