Japanese hanging scroll of Kasuga shrine deer mandala (Dealer: Sezuan antiques & art) – Aged woodblock printing talisman (gofu) of deer-mandala (shika-mandala) from Kasuga-taisha shrine in Nara prefecture, designed with a sacred deer with a votive plaque of ‘enso’ circle (mishotai) as the messenger of Kasuga deity. Meiji period in 19th century. Slight damages at mounting. Scroll: approx. 124 x 33cm (48.81 x 12.99in), Paper: approx. 66.5 x 22cm (26.18 x 8.66in)
