GAGI – Folk wooden tapping rod for Japanese thatch roof (Dealer: tayutafu) – Wooden tapping tool used for adjusting thatch roof called ‘Gagi’ (Gagi-bo), coming from the Gassho-zukuri-concentrated areas in Shirakawago and Gokayama (located in Gifu prefecture) as a World Heritage site in Japan. Meiji-Taisho period, circa pre-1920. In aesthetically well-used condition, with a hole and refined taste of well-smoothened edge.
