ZUSHI – Japanese folk wooden Shinto shrine (Dealer: hotoke antiques) – Folk household Shinto altar as the place of ‘Kami’ (God) for the belief and for the everyday relief. Tohoku region in Japan, Meiji-Taisho period, early 20th century. Unique and refined tall type with high stairs. Also, attached with three metal ‘Mitsudomoe-mon’ as Shinto shrine crest at roof. In used condition as is, with aged impression. approx. H 36.5cm (14.37in), W 31.5cm (12.40in), D 21cm (8.26in)
