Japanese antique Sanshushi stitched seat paper of silkworm egg 19c  (Dealer: hotoke antiques) – Rare solid stitched seat paper coated with persimmon tannin, called ‘Sanshushi’, once sold from silkworm egg producer (named ‘Sunohara’ or ‘Haruhara’) in Shinano province (Nagano prefecture), End of Edo – Meiji period, 19th century. Trademarks and picture of horses worshipped as protective god of silkworm at the frontside, and name of the purchaser (customer) at the backside.
