SENJU KANNON BOSATSU (Dealer: hotoke) – Antique Japanese wood carving statue of the Thousand-armed Kannon Bosatsu (Avalokiteshwara), with elegant remains of the pure white pigment (gofun) after the exfoliation of overcoating colorful paint. In aesthetically imperfect condition as is, without the most of arms and the main face used to have crystal eyes (gyokugan). Edo period, 18-19th century. approx. H 31cm (12.20in).
