5-piece set of Antique Japanese Gold Makie-Lacquered Soup Bowls (Dealer: Ishii Collection) – Traditional Japanese lacquered-tableware of ‘suimonowan’ (soup bowl), designed with refined gold makie lacquer in well-balanced composition, late Edo period – early Meiji period. Such lacquer craftwork called “JAPAN” as one of the representative Japanese craftworks. A set of 5 pieces is complete unit as the particular Japanese standard. In fine antique condition, with expected minor flaws and lacquer-crackings for its actual use. Seen slight discoloration at inside. Attached with wooden box.
