Antique Japanese Yokino flask 19th century  (Dealer: misakadou) – Drinking ceramic ‘tokkuri’ flask (specially for‘shochu’Japanese spirits) made from local kiln in Tanegashima Island, Kagoshima prefecture, which produced folksy livingware called Yokino ware and was closed in late Meiji period. Massive and profound form with impressive simplicity as another scarce mingei folk art piece. Edo-Meiji period. In fine antique condition, with a small chip at spout. approx. H 22 cm (8.66in), D 16 cm (6.22in)
