Worshipper’s wooden tablets dedicated to the shrine called ‘Ema’ (lit. ‘Horse picture’), with the painting of Japanese hiragana letter of ‘ME’ which stand for “Eyes” as the prayer for cure of eye disease. Showa period, early 20th century, Japan.
