DORA 01 (Dealer: Jinta) – Brass ‘dora’ gong used for sounding it when ready for tea gathering for the tea ceremony. 19th – early 20th century, Japan. Its ripple pattern stands for the widening rings on the water when sank down. So, besides “Boil water, make tea, and drink it.”, such tea utensil itself adds “Enjoy imagination.”. approx.
