SHIBA INU (Dealer: hotoke) – Lovely vintage “wood-grain carving” Shiba-inu dog okimono of scarse ‘Jindai-sugi’ (Lignitized Japanese cedar for hundreds to thousands of years) with the sculptor’s brand (‘Kakudo’), Showa period, 20th century, Japan, approx. L 19 x H 18 x W 5.3cm (7.48 x 7.08 x 2.08in). Comfortable touch of feeling with such smoothly rugged texture by this unique carving method as well. Just some expected slight scratches and whitish stain as seen.
