JIZO BOSATSU (Dealer: titcoRet) – Unique wooden ‘Jizo Bosatsu’ (Jizo Bodhisattva) statue with a cross-like mark at backside, as a ‘Minshubutsu’ (lit. “Folk Buddha”) carved so freely by a certain ordinary people (as non-professional Buddhist sculptor), Edo period (1603-1868), Japan, approx. H 34 x W 12 x D 10cm (13.38 x 4.72 x 3.93in), in such worm‐eaten condition (with some wood dust).
