SILVER CUPS (Dealer: hotoke) – Unintentionally unique, profound, and aesthetic. Antique pure-silver wine cups of Westernized form, coated with profound sulfidation like Eastern ink painting or like “wabi” expression of mature ‘chawan’, as abstract landscape. As another highlight, lovely subtle palm size for hand and sight. Engraved “S” mark in a star and ‘Jungin’ (‘Pure silver’ indicated horizontally from right to left) as scarce early products of Ginza Tanaka (since 1892), the long-established Japanese jewelry shop in Tokyo. Circa early 20th century at least for the details. approx. W 8.3-6.0 cm (3.26-2.36in), H 6.7 cm (2.63in)
