DISTORTED CHAWAN WITH KINTSUGI (Dealer: titcoRet) – Originally an old Japanese pottery tea bowl once thrown away around Kihara kiln in Nagasaki, Kyushu region because of failure piece, excavated by the connoisseur in the later years for the new valuation of wabi aesthetics (beauty of incompleteness), then arranged with kintsugi (gold repair) to be reborn it. Mid Edo period, 18th century. 12.5 x 8 x H 6.5cm (4.92 x 3.14 x 2.55in).
