KAMI (Dealer: titcoRet) – A mitate (recontextualized pairing), consisting of a wooden zushi (miniature Shinto shrine) and a fragmentary wooden face from a Buddhist statue. Taisho–Showa period, 20th century, Japan. Zushi: 28.5 × 29 × 12.5 cm (11.22 × 11.41 × 4.92 in). Visible aging and deterioration consistent with age and use.
