OVERSIZED RICE-PADDY GETA (Dealer: Jinta) – Unusually large wooden field geta sandals (ta-geta) worn during rice planting to prevent the feet from sinking into the mud. Japan, early Shōwa period, circa 1930s. Approx. 75 × 36 × 3 cm (29.5 × 14.2 × 1.2 in). Age-related wear, as shown in the photos.
