STONE WITH INNER CORE (Dealer: titcoRet) – A mysterious natural suiseki stone distinguished by a partially raised, double-layered structure emerging from within, as if revealing an inner core. Collected from the Ashoro River, Hokkaidō, Japan. Approx. 20 × 15 × 9 cm (7.9 × 5.9 × 3.5 in). Referred to as taishi (“womb stones”) and are regarded in certain folk beliefs as symbolic of inner life, or as stones “bearing a child,” occasionally becoming objects of quiet veneration. Age-related natural wear is present. Condition as shown.
