LONG RITUAL JUZU (Dealer: titcoRet) – An unusual oversized juzu prayer bead strand made for single-person use, related in spirit to the hyakumanben practice—a Buddhist ritual in which “Namu Amida Butsu” is recited repeatedly using a large rosary (hyakumanben nenju). Used in Shugendō prayers and ritual practice. Japan, Taishō to Shōwa period (early to mid-20th century). Approx. over 350 cm (137.8+ in) in length when folded in half. Each wooden bead varies subtly in size, with some showing age-related damage and wear. Condition as shown.
