KANNON FROM THE SEA (Dealer: titcoRet) – A natural stone long shaped and softened by ocean currents, its surface worn into gentle, flowing contours through many years beneath the sea. Later brought ashore and enshrined in an old Japanese household as a form of Kannon, regarded as a sugata-ishi (figurative viewing stone) within the tradition of suiseki. Approx. 10 × 8 × 17 cm (3.9 × 3.1 × 6.7 in). Traces of shell remains are attached to the surface. Condition as shown.
