RED RIBS (Dealer: hotoke) – Lacquered wood. Japan, Shōwa period (20th century). Approx. 50 × 35 × 21 cm (19.7 × 13.8 × 8.3 in).
Age-related wear including cracks and stains is present. Condition as shown. Alterations made by a previous owner include repairs to three “bone” elements (shown in the last photos) with black lacquer, with slight looseness remaining, and a roughly carved area on the back for wall mounting. Due to its nature, slight wobbling is present when used as a flower stand or pedestal. The gold-colored object is not included by default.
