POWERFUL PROTECTION TALISMAN SET (Dealer: titcoRet) – A set of woodblock-printed Tsunodaishi talismans, regarded as among the most powerful protective charms in Japan. Based on the legend of the Heian-period monk Ryōgen, who is said to have transformed himself into a demon-like figure to subdue evil spirits. Japan, Shōwa period (20th century). Approx. 24.3 × 11 cm (9.6 × 4.3 in) each. 16 sets preserved as deadstock, with two talismans per set. Variations in condition and printing quality are present. Some individual pieces show tears, and all have a central fold mark from storage.
