CIGARETTE PACK KOKESHI (Dealer: titcoRet) – A pair of Japanese kokeshi dolls made from empty cigarette packs, one using Mild Seven and the other Cabin packaging. Shōwa period (20th century). Approx. 17 cm (6.7 in) in height, including the wooden bases. A charming example of Japanese mingei folk art, combining everyday utility with playful creativity. The dolls are simply attached to their wooden bases with dowels and can be easily removed. On the white figure, the head and dowel fit loosely and may separate easily, though this does not affect display. Age-related wear is present. Condition as shown.
