AGGRESSIVE BEAR (Dealer: yamanome) – ‘Keue-ningyo’ (lit. ‘Furry doll’) as scarce realistic animal doll of traditional Kyoto handicraft pasting the bundles of untwisted silk string on the paper-mache body to describe the lie of animal’s hair made during End of Edo to Meiji period, late 19th – early 20th century, Japan, approx. 9 x 6.5cm (3.54 x 2.55in). Glass eyes. Some expected damage (stain and some lacks of fur) due to aging as is as seen.
