HEAD HUNTER (Dealer: titcoRet) – Japanese hanging scroll with the painting of a scene with the returning brave samurai warrior with four enemy’s heads, ‘Toshiie Maeda’ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maeda_Toshiie) in the ‘Battle of Okehazama’ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Okehazama). Originally Edo period (1603-1868) then mounted in Showa period (1926-1989). Total: 71 x 170.8 cm (27.95 x 67.24in). Damaged condition due to age as is as seen.
