GODS OF GENITAL WORSHIP (Dealer: titcoRet) – Very rare set of old wood carving male and female genitalia once dedicated within ‘Inshi’ (Shrine of evil deity) as amphoteric ‘Goshintai’ (lit.‘Body of Kami (God)’ / Objects of worship believed to contain the spirit of deity) based on traditional Japanese phallicism. 19th – early 20th century. Specially such female god is very scarce as hardly found today. Phallus don’t keep on standing by its own as is. Stained with soot when touch.
