BLUE-AND-WHITE SWIRLING LARGE BOWL (Dealer: hotoke) – Possibly a scarce example of old Hirashimizu ware from the Yamagata area (or at least a rare local mingei folk pottery bowl from elsewhere in the Tōhoku region, Japan), featuring unusual auspicious motifs of nejiri (swirling design) and shimenawa (Shintō ritual twisted-rope pattern). Early–mid 20th century. Approx. 31 × 12 cm (12.2 × 4.7 in). Age-related wear, firing marks, and aesthetic imperfections, as shown in the photos.
