BOSATSU TORSO (Dealer: Sezuan antiques & art) – Refinedly incomplete Buddhist wood carving statue of ‘Bosatsu’ (Bodhisattva) with massive and elegant body like a pillar of Greek architecture.
Personally judged it’s from the Medieval times (around 1192-1573) in Japan or a little later. Sign of “paint” at chest as the indication for its coloring.

Torso: approx. H 30cm (11.81in), Stand: H 3.5cm (1.37in)
