BUDDHIST STATUE FROM GOMA (Dealer: titcoRet) – Well-sooted Japanese wood carving buddhist statue enshrined at Goma-do hall (the place for *Goma holy firring ceremony) of a certain buddhist temple in Fukushima for long years. Late 19th – early 20th century. H 19.3cm (7.59in). Because of matured and uncleared facial expression by such accumulated ash due to aging, became much more abstract and attractive object of Buddhism with rich depth. Still strongly remains that smoky smell, so please refrain from ordering it if you care.
