CLOUD DRAGON (Dealer: hotoke) – Late Edo period’s Buddhist abstract calligraphy of ‘Un-Ryu’ (‘Cloud-Dragon’ as two kanji characters) on washi paper by a Rinzai sect’s priest, ‘Zoho-Monga’ (1779-1840), mounted on flower-patterned textile (backing with paper) in the later years as a hanging scroll. Total with roller ends: approx. 102 x 54.5cm (40.15 x 21.45in). Some expected stains due to aging, but no fatal damage as seen.
