SILENT WRESTLER (Dealer: Jinta) – A Japanese carved wooden sculpture of a sumo wrestler. Shōwa period, circa 1950s. Approx. 23 × 14 × 10.5 cm (9.1 × 5.5 × 4.1 in). The face carries the quiet melancholy of a wrestler seemingly resigned to retirement. Age-related wear is present. Condition as shown.
