Shōwa period, circa 1956. Framed. Approx. 49 × 58 × 5.5 cm (19.3 × 22.8 × 2.2 in). The children are shown carrying a banner reading “Sending Off the Antarctic Expedition” and five placards that together read, “Antarctica is our dream and our aspiration – Class 3-2.” Age-related wear is present.
