DRAGON GOD WITH ONE STROKE (Dealer: titcoRet) – Japanese hanging scroll with a calligraphy of single Chinese character of ‘Ryu’ (Dragon) which stands for ‘Ryujin’ (Dragon god) drawn with a single stroke of the brush as an art form of calligraphy called ‘Ippitsugaki’, as a spiritually bold move with no hesitation, used to be hang at an old house for keeping away from fire, Taisho period (1912-1926). approx. 176 x 36.5cm (69.29 x 14.37in). Aged deterioration with stain, discoloring, and bend as is.
