FAN WITH CUTE FACE (Dealer: hotoke) – Blurring senmen-ga (illustrated fan) of such a cute creature (dog? or komainu (guardian dog)?) with greenish gold of iwa-enogu (natural mineral pigments) on layered washi (Japanese paper) stuck on wooden canvas, 65.5 x 53 x 2.5cm (25.78 x 20.86 x 0.98in), by Eiki Tsukioka (1916-1997), as one of the leading Showa’s Nihonga (Japanese-style painting) painter with very unique and alternative worldview, once as the pupil of a master, Seison Maeda (1885-1977). No his signature, but obviously coming from his own studio as its certain provenance.
