IBO (Dealer: hotoke) – Quite a simple and very rare type of ‘Mi’ (Winnowing basket as a traditional Japanese farm tool) locally called ‘Ibo’ (or ‘Sade mi’) in Aizu region of Northern part of Japan made of only wild vine and straw string. Early-mid 20th century. approx. 60 x 48 x 4 cm (23.62 x 18.89 x 1.57in). Because stocked in the garret of old farm house for long years, it’s in soot-covered condition by the hearth smoke (Just once briefly washed for not disturbing its original patina so that still stained when touch).
