FLOWER IN VASE (Dealer: hotoke) – Delicate and transitory work with pencil, charcoal, and gold of iwa-enogu (natural mineral pigments) on layered washi (Japanese paper) that covers all inner wooden canvas, 54.7 x 73.7 x 1.8cm (21.53 x 29.01 x 0.70in), by Eiki Tsukioka (1916-1997), as one of the leading Showa’s Nihonga (Japanese-style painting) painter with very unique and alternative worldview, once as the pupil of a master, Seison Maeda (1885-1977). No his signature, but obviously coming from his own studio as its certain provenance.
