KATADE BOWL (Dealer: hotoke) – Imperfect white porcelain bowl of Korean folk everyday-ware categorized into ‘katade’ (lit. ‘solid type’) by Japanese tea ceremonial term and its connoisseurs or enthusiasts, dating back to Early Joseon Dynasty, 15-16th century as the transitional era from celadon to white porcelain manufacturing. Massive and deep mold of elegantly thin make coated roughly in the glazing of such refined color of “white” with impurities and absorptive shade. Indian-ink sign of single Chinese character as ‘onna’ (woman) at the foot.
