FRAGMENT OF TEMPLE (Dealer: hotoke) – A part of old wooden fittings of Japanese temple architecture, Edo period (1603-1868), approx. 35 x 21 x 7cm (13.77 x 8.26 x 2.75in), often applied to the display stand (specially for single-flower vase or Buddhist statue) for ‘wabi’ (tea ceremonial) arrangement here in Japan (but of course also or more recommended to enjoy its abstraction and matureness by only itself in rich blankness).
