HANNYA MASK (Dealer: hotoke) – Quite a unique wood carving ‘Hannya’ (Horned demoness) mask with such mad expression but somehow funny, probably made and actually used for the local Kagura dance at somewhere in Japan, early 20th century. Its sculptor’s name of ‘Seiho’ at the backside. Aged paint loss and wormholes as is. (*Attached a wire for hanging it on the wall for shooting its photos.)

Total: approx. L 25.5cm (10.03in), W 13.3cm (5.23in), D 7cm (2.75in)
