GYOBAN (Dealer: tayutafu) – ‘Gyoban’ fish-shaped wooden gong that indicates the time or the event at temple. Meiji-Taisho period, early 20th century, Japan.

Fish – approx. L 46cm (18.11in), W 11cm (4.33in), T 4.5cm (1.77in)
Stick – approx. L 8.5cm (3.34in) (*White tip – 3 x 3cm (1.18 x 1.18in))
String – approx. 82cm (32.28in)
