MINO WITH THE NAME OF HI 01 (Dealer: Sezuan antiques & art) – Japanese ‘mino’ coat woven with ‘hiroro’ sedge (carex multifolia), with “hi” of katakana character of ragged textile woven within a back pad. Showa period, early 20th century. Mainly used for shading from summer sun, but also used as a raincoat. Coming up together with ‘MINO WITH THE NAME OF HI 02’ as the same provenance. approx. L 102cm (40.15in)
