HINA DOLL’S HEAD AND CROWN (Dealer: titcoRet) – Quite elegant and detailed head and ‘hokan’ (jeweled crown) for the princess of Japanese Hina dolls categorized into ‘kokin-bina’ (traditional hina dolls with new designs in the late Edo period), attached with an inner core of doll’s body. Edo-Meiji period, 19th – early 20th century. Total: approx. H 43.5cm (17.12in). In aesthetically used condition as is, with some missing beads and aged deterioration. (Removed glass ‘hoju’ (precious stone) is attached, as photo#12)
