HYOTTOKO – Japanese rural Kuwae-men mask (Dealer: Sezuan antiques & art) – Wooden carving male mask of ‘Hyottoko’ (Clown with blowing-up face) as ‘Kuwae-men’ (Mask worn to hold backside wooden projection in mouth instead of fitting with string), formed a idiotic pair with funny female mask of ‘Okame’ to humorously and sexually pantomime (without speaking for such make of mask) and dance together with praying for good harvest at local festival.
