IKON OF AMIDA RAIGO TRIAD (Dealer: antiques.iwata) – Hand-painted *Amida Raigo Triad on the panels of wooden zushi (household miniature shrine), like an ikon (religious painting on panel) of traditional Japanese Buddhist art, circa Muromachi period (1336-1573), H 29 x D 3 x W 15.5-31.5 cm (11.41 x 1.18 x 6.10-12.40in). Center picture painted on silk pasted on the wooden panel, and some peelings as is. Pictures of the both sides painted directly on the wooden panels, and some deterioration as seen. Slight lacquer-peelings and re-lacquering on the surface of zushi. Considered in good antique condition for the age.
