IRON STONE WITH LACQUER STAND (Dealer: Pottari) – A unique black assemblage in the spirit of suiseki: a wooden container once used by a Japanese lacquerer to hold lacquer, set together with a natural iron nodule from the Abe River in Shizuoka. Vessel: Shōwa period, 20th century. Total: Approx. 18 × 14 × 14 cm (7.1 × 5.5 × 5.5 in). Traces of lacquer remain on the surface, contributing to its aesthetic character. With age-related wear as shown.
