Antique Japanese Ko Karatsu yobitsugi small plate Momoyama-Edo period  (Dealer: minakata antiques) – Early Karatsu (Ko Karatsu ware) art piece of ‘yobitsugi’ as Japanese traditional restoration technique for regeneration applied by the fragments of mostly similar (same type of) broken potteries, which is considered to be a design as art rather than just a restoration specially among Japanese collectors. Intentionally, used gold lacquer as dull-colored ‘kintsugi’ for the total harmony, with such aesthetic distortion. Momoyama – Early Edo period. approx. D 11.5 cm (4.52in), H 3 cm (1.18in)
