KEROKURO (Dealer: Sezuan antiques & art) – Primitive wooden ‘kerokuro’ (kicking potter’s wheel) for the local pottery ware in Miyagi prefecture, Tohoku region, Japan. 19th century.
Very solid and heavy hard wood (pine tree?) carved by ‘kijishi’ (woodturner), according to the texture (of waist specially).
