KOREAN JOSEON DYNASTY JAR (Dealer: minakata antiques) – Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), Korea.

Round-shaped pottery jar coated in thick glaze with such aesthetically unintentional (unconscious) stain for the long time use as it’s the highlight (called “landscape” among the Japanese connoisseurs as the particular expression). Two stuck pottery-fragments around the mouth, and a chip (3mm (1.18in)), a hairline crack, and gold-repair (kintsugi) at the mouth-edge. It leaks from the inborn kiln-flaw when put water into for a long time.

approx. D 13.8cm (5.43in), H 10.6cm (4.17in)
