THE COLOR OF A LAST PIECE OF SUSHI (Dealer: titcoRet) – Old Japanese oil painting on an wooden board, by Ryuji Doki, 1931, written a Japanese poem in haiku style at backside translated to “The color of a last piece of sushi on a large plate.”, that expresses well the modest and unique Japanese culturual mind (but too much, on the other hand) of “Hold back doing something (taking the last piece on a shared plate) as out of consideration for others”. Painting: 32 x 23cm (12.59 x 9.05in), Frame: 43.5 x 35cm (17.12 x 13.77in). Probably need some reinforcement for the backing of frame for more stability.
Sold, Thank you.
