MAN WHO WAITS (Dealer: titcoRet) – Japanese wood carving image of a seated holy priest with a unique polished face and with a dokkosho (also tokkosho, a pestle with a single sharp blade at each end, found as an attribute of Buddhist guardian figures, and a symbolic item in Esoteric Buddhism) in the right hand, sorounded with such very calm presence. Meiji period (1868-1912). approx. H 20cm (7.87in). Some cracks as is as seen.
