BOXED MINIMUM BUDDHAS AND AMIDA NYORAI (Dealer: titcoRet) – Fourteen pieces of wood carving ‘kebutsu’ (small image of Buddha placed on the head of Buddha statue or Bosatsu statue or on its halo) and one Amida Nyorai (Amithaba), Edo period, 19th century, Japan. Six of those are replaced with later pieces like from Meiji period. Color-fading and some damage due to age as is. Large kebutsu: approx. 3cm (1.18in), Amida Nyorai: approx. 2.2cm (0.86in)
