LARGE OVAL PORCELAIN PLATE WITH ANCHOR INSIGNIA (Dealer: hotoke) – Unlike typical white porcelain ware with “decent and sharp” feeling, loose but elegant with bold and easy-going distortion in blue coloring and forming as very uniquely. Moreover, its provenance is just mysterious, as provably relating to the Chinese (or Manchukuo?) Navy or the Imperial Japanese Navy produced from a certain kiln in China according to such anchor insignia and conventional-like but unknown Six Chinese characters (as never seen before), though its details unknown really. So, around early 20th century or so. approx. 42 x 30 x 4.5cm (16.53 x 11.81 x 1.77in). Only one sure thing is this is very rare. One crack as seen in photo#5, but not fatal defect for actual use because covered with outer transparent glaze.
